Eternal Star

Sophia wants to reach the stars.  
She wants to catch them all. 

Design Process

My role for this project was to be the developer. I thought learning the Fruit Ninja mechanics be phenomenal for this game jam.

 

I loved playing Fruit Ninja in my younger years. I propose to my team that we use Fruit Ninja mechanics in an astrology theme. 

My vision for Eternal Star is for the player to engage in the story behind Sofia and challenge the player in interactive gameplay.

 

Another element I want to stand out from Fruit Ninja is implementing a game map in which players can pick the levels instead of trying to beat their highest score.

Instructions

This instructions should make the player understand how to play this game if they never played fruit ninja before. If the player swipes the star they will gain point.

However, if the player swipes the death star they will loose points.

The game can end early if the player's score is below 0.

Game Map

I plan to add multiple levels with increasing difficulty. My team member, Wei Wu, has illustrated the map to highlight the unique story we are presenting to the player.
